Focus Solution "Solar Energy" and My Voice Thread

For a couple of decades, we have used the sun for drying clothes and food, while it recently has used for generating electricity that comes from the sun-light which called solar energy. In fact, solar energy is enough to cover our demands for many years, if we use it properly. Now, I’m going to write about the advantages and disadvantages of solar energy.

There are several distinct advantages of solar energy. One of these advantages is that solar energy can be used widely in sunny countries like, UAE. Also, solar energy is free and doesn’t produce pollution, so it is environmentally friendly. So, we can reduce pollution by using it. Another benefit is that it is economical, because it can only operate with a little maintenance after the initial setup.

Although there are several advantages, there are also some important disadvantages. One drawback is that solar energy does not work at night, but we can use the power save from day light. Also, it needs large areas to get enough energy. Another disadvantage is that it is very expensive to build solar power stations especially polysilicon solar cells that need a large initial capital investment.

Overall, in my opinion solar energy is one of these energy alternatives that we need used it with little pollution. It is used for many applications these days like heating water and building, cooking and generating electricity.

"My Carbon Footprint"

A carbon footprint is the impact of human activities on the environment and measured terms of amount of green house gases produced. Every one live on the earth has a carbon footprint that creates the carbon dioxide and linked to climate change. My carbon footprint is 2.95 and it is divided into four parts which are travel 41%, stuff 26%, food 19% and home 14%.

There are many problems that create the carbon emissions and contribute to climate change as I mentioned above with four parts. One of these, I like to use my own car a lot alone to do my own business that creates the CO2 emissions. Secondly, I use inefficient brighter bulbs that give more light at my room. Thirdly, I don’t like to re-use anything to recycle.
As it has problems, it has also solutions. One of these, I can use the bus or train instead of using my own car to do my own business. Secondly, I have to work with the manufactures to phase out these types of inefficient brighter bulbs. Thirdly, I have to re-use shopping bags and plastic to reduce the packaging.

To conclude, my carbon footprint is shared to climate change as I mentioned above. Everyone has to know his impact on the environment to be a part of the community for reducing our planet’s CO2 emissions. As we know now, the weather got warmer because the increased CO2, so we have to think more about our future.

Review of “An Inconvenient Truth”

The video was interesting and very useful that showed the effects of the global warming around us. As we know now, the weather get warmer because the more of the CO2. It also illustrated the last statistic of the increasing CO2 and its effects. So, all the countries all over the world should thinking and creating some solutions to reduce, save and protect our live and our children live. For example, they have to think a lot about the alternative energy that make less CO2 emissions.

Summary of “An Inconvenient Truth”

Dr. Albert Aldore showed the problems of the Global warming that causes many difficulties without have knowledge from the people. Increasing heat is effected in the atmosphere level. As a result from that, there are many countries are suffer from the increasing of CO2. The increasing of CO2 is directly relationship with the weather. That’s mean, more CO2 cause to get more warm weather. From the statistic of the two recent life, the CO2 these days record the more value and it is going up and up.

This warming effects on the sea temperature and causes typhoons and tornadoes. Also, it causes the flooding. In addition of that, the mountains are suffered from the soil moisture that caused the cracks. The two poles are the most effect from the global warming. The ice area decreased by 46% within 40 years.
